Berman ranks nine agents to build, Jev lands at number five

Speed-to-lead first, weekly report last, and the one Jev job on the list is read-only by design.

Matthew Berman posted the order he would build nine agents in if he had to make more money with agents starting Monday. Jev appears once, at number five, on the competitor ad breakdown. His figure for it is 724 live ads from 37 brands broken down in 40 seconds for 9 cents.

The ranking is his own opinion, framed as what he sees working for his company and clients, with a YMMV attached. Number one is the speed-to-lead agent, which triages, ranks and replies to an inbound lead the second it arrives and books the call if the lead qualifies. He says the top reason people do not buy is that they did not hear from you in time, and that he has watched companies lose tens of millions because high net worth inquiries waited over a week for a reply. Number two is call prep, which scrapes the prospect's LinkedIn, X and Instagram before the call. Number three is an ad spend watchdog that pulls spend, CPA and frequency daily, with frequency over 3.5 as the line where he calls an audience cooked.

Where the Jev job sits

The competitor ad breakdown replaces what Berman describes as an hour of scrolling the ad library taking screenshots. The detail that matters for anyone copying it is the third line he gives that entry, that the job is read-only and nothing it does can cost you money. That is the argument for putting a cheap classifier on it rather than a frontier model. It is also why the numbers are hard to grade. Berman gives cost and wall clock for the run and no accuracy figure, nothing about what the breakdown got right across those 724 ads.

The rest of the list is not Jev work by his own description. Number six, the customer language miner, is 238 demo call transcripts piped into Claude, which he says moved cost per lead from $128 to $56 in 30 days for one B2B SaaS company. Number seven is a UGC kit that makes a skit video for $11.20 and drops it in Slack for a one click review, and he says to build it only after five and six or it makes pretty ads about nothing. Nine, the weekly report, is last because it runs on everything above it.

For people building on it, treat the 40 seconds and 9 cents as one person's run on his own ad workload, not a benchmark, and note that the ordering rule he actually states is channel-based. If a different channel is already paying you, its agent jumps up.
