UiPath adds a TypeSafe connector for Jev in workflows
The order of magnitude number comes from the vendor, not from a named workflow or benchmark.
UiPath has added a TypeSafe connector to its Integration Service, which puts Jev models inside UiPath workflows as the thing that makes the decision step. UiPath's pitch is decisions made at lower cost and latency, with no numbers attached to that post.
The number came from the vendor afterwards. TypeSafe AI said Jev brings judgment to UiPath workflows at about an order of magnitude cheaper and faster, and signed off with "LLM-as-a-judge-no-more". That is a claim about replacing the common pattern where you call a general purpose chat model and ask it to grade or classify something, which is the shape most automation teams have been using for routing, approvals and extraction.

What is actually measured here
Nothing, yet. TypeSafe did not name a baseline model, a workflow, a task volume, or whether the comparison is per call, per token or end to end through the Integration Service. Ten times cheaper than a frontier judge and ten times cheaper than a small classifier are very different claims, and the post does not say which one it is. Latency inside a UiPath workflow also depends on the connector hop and queueing, not just inference, so a model level speedup does not automatically survive the trip.
Diogo Almeida, who has argued before that the competing lookalike models copy the interface and miss the reliability, called the connector huge for real world automation. That is enthusiasm from someone close to the model, not a measurement of a UiPath deployment.
For people building on it, the useful move is to treat the order of magnitude as the vendor's number and get your own. If you already run an LLM judge step in a UiPath workflow, you have the before half of a before and after sitting in your logs. Swap the connector in on one decision point, hold the inputs fixed, and compare cost per thousand decisions and p95 latency rather than the headline multiple. Agreement rate against your existing judge matters more than either, because a cheaper decision that disagrees with the old one on five percent of cases is a behaviour change you have to approve, not a saving.
